A user-centric upgrade for Graz Holding

When municipal service providers seek to enter the mobile age, they are confronted with a whole range of challenges. Especially when the range of services is as extensive as that of Graz Holding. From public transport to district heating, from car sharing to current local topics - the entire diversity of a large city should also be available digitally and on the go. Simple, clear and above all as everywhere as possible.  Together with Graz Holding, moodley tackled exactly this challenge: to bring a municipal service provider into the mobile age and its services very close to the users.

Much more than a website

A huge, existing and constantly growing content library, which is filled by various sub-companies, departments and people, received a completely new design system for this purpose. Its modular structure is designed for constant expansion. This allows the Graz Holding team to make changes easily and on their own. The modernized look brings all elements together in a contemporary form and also brings the appearance up to date visually.

He who seeks, finds.

The challenge of making the entire content diversity accessible without endless scrolling and clicking was solved in a creative way: at the center of the technical implementation is a smart search function that takes users directly to the desired subpage. A new content structure facilitates orientation. Due to the new, optimized SEO strategy, the subpages are also much easier to find via a conventional search engine search.

"Thanks to a modular system, content can be added or removed at any time - easily, quickly and efficiently."

Usability at the center

Even in the early development stages, real users were involved in the creation process with the help of prototypes and interviews. In addition, ongoing data analysis shows that the majority of accesses now take place via mobile devices. Accordingly, the development team followed a mobile-first approach from the very beginning. This made it possible to create a digital service hub that can be used in German and English and that connects users and Graz Holding's services in the best possible way, and will continue to do so in the future. Because just like the company's services, the online presence is also constantly evolving.
